About Jesse Waggoner

Jesse Waggoner has more than 40 years of ministry experience, and has served as Senior Pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia since 2011,  where he pursues his life-long passion of communicating the message of the Bible in a way that connects with our world today. He is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College, Bethany Theological Seminary and completed his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Masters International University of Divinity. Jesse is heard weekly on the Living The Word Today broadcast and is an active podcaster. 

Since 2013 he has produced and served as the on-screen teacher for Recharge which features brief, weekly episodes that are delivered via social media and brings small doses of encouragement to his subscribers.

Pastor Waggoner has authored numerous articles for various publications as well as five books including: Love Like God, Strange and Bizarre Stories from the Bible and the soon to be published Loved By God, a 31 devotional guide.

Jesse is married to Julie, the love of his life. Together they have three grown children with families of their own. Outside of ministry, spending time with grandchildren and photography are what he enjoys the most.
