Portraits of Love

Jesus painted pictures with words. These images are filled with messages of love for His children.  In this study we will look afresh at these portraits of love from the gospels and discover new dimensions of His love. Won’t you enter the gallery with us?

The Bride (John 14:1-6)

In this picture of a wedding Jesus shows us how loved we are.

The Children (Matt. 19:13)

Part 2 of “Portraits of Love.” Jesus uses children to illustrate our entrance into and the nature of the kingdom of God.

The Shepherd (John 10)

In part 3 of “Portraits of Love” we are confronted with our need to remember our Good Shepherd.

The Sower and The Soils (Matt. 13)

The parable of the sower and the soils shows how to avoid foolishness in life.

Outline with verses

To remain fruitful we must avoid a worldly perspective.

The Soils: Fruitfulness

An unusual character shows us the way to spiritual fruitfulness.

The Mustard Seed (Matt. 17:1-20)

We learn through a picture of a small seed that big things can happen if we remain attached to the object of our faith.

The Vine and the Branches (John 15:1-8)
