Dr. Paul C. Reiter,  Mrs. Lou Reiter

Dr. Paul Reiter was a husband, father, pastor, professor and mentor to many.  This material is presented as both a resource and a tribute to Dr. Reiter.  

Dr. Reiter was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and served in the US Navy. He was a graduate of Tarkio College, Dallas Theological Seminary and The California Graduate School of Theology.  He pastored churches in Texas, California, Ohio and West Virginia. For 36 years he served at Appalachian Bible College as Professor, Dean of Education and Chairman of the Pastoral Studies Department.

Paul was married to his beloved Lou and together they had two daughters, Kathy Brown and Laura Hannah; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Lou joined Paul in heaven in 2020.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personal Thoughts

I first met Dr. Reiter when I was an 18 year old college freshman.  I knew him from the classroom, pulpit, his home, road trips and conferences across the country.  In every setting he showed the love of Christ and displayed his calling as a servant of God. 

In 2022 I was contacted by his daughter Kathy and  was blessed  to  be offered Dr. Reiter’s peaching notes from 50+ years of ministry.  It is my joy to share the New Testament materials online so his work can be a further blessing.  I hope to add the Old Testament later this year (2023).
